Truck Driver in Custody after Multi-Vehicle Auto Accident
Daniel Burch was arrested this Wednesday for his involvement in an accident that resulted in two deaths and several injuries, according to LakeExpo.com, an online news source.
The news website reported that, as Burch neared a highway intersection, his tractor-trailer collided with a car and killed the driver and passenger. The site added that the collision lead to a chain reaction that damaged eight vehicles and injured several motorists.
ConnectMidMissouri.com, anther news site, published an article identifying the deceased as Robin Dinwiddie and her daughter, Kenda O’Leary.
LakeExpo.com noted that Daniel Burch’s truck hit the back of Robin Dinwiddie’s car while approaching an intersection on Highway 54.
“At least two of the cars [in the accident] caught fire…,” ConnectMidMissouri.com wrote.
According to the Associated Press, four people from the multi-vehicle pileup in Miller County, Missouri, were taken to the hospital for injuries.
Among the injured motorists listed by LakeExpo.com were the truck driver, Daniel Burch, as well as Missouri residents April Cline and Amy Shaw and Alabama resident James Villines.
“Burch was arrested on suspicion of Careless and Imprudent Operation, and two possible counts of 2nd Degree Involuntary Manslaughter,” the news site reported.
