Lone Jack, MO (December 10, 2021) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a crash in Jackson County on Thursday afternoon. Just before 2 p.m., on December 9, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the site of a crash on US Highway 50.

Reports from MSHP Trooper J. T. Langsdale show that a 2011 Mercury Mariner failed to yield the right of way to a 2011 Honda Pilot on the westbound side of US Highway 50 near Route F. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

Two people involved in the crash were injured. 18-year-old Katelynn Wheat and 44-year-old Adrian Gordinier were both transported to Lee’s Summit Medical for the treatment of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with Katelynn Wheat and Adrian Gordinier at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
