St Francois, MO (December 10, 2021) – Two people were transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for the treatment of injuries following a crash in St Francois on Tuesday afternoon, December 7.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that at around 3:17 p.m., a 2010 Pontiac G6, driven by 29-year-old Breanna Elser, was attempting to make a left turn from Missouri State Highway 221 at the intersection of Buck Mountain Road. A 2000 Toyota Corolla entered the opposite lane of traffic in a no-passing zone in an attempt to pass the vehicle. As a result, they both collided.
The impact of the crash sent both vehicles off the left side of the road. The Pontiac crashed into a utility pole and came to rest on top of the Toyota.
The driver of the Pontiac, 29-year-old Breanna Elser, and her 7-year-old passenger were both injured. The two victims were transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington via ambulance for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
