Joplin, MO (February 27, 2021) – Four cars were involved in a chain-reaction accident on Saturday, February 27th in Newton County on Highway 43 just outside of Joplin.
Reports show that the accident happened at about 1:45 p.m. when a 2015 Dodge Ram pick-up truck rear-ended a 2018 Honda Accord. The impact propelled the Honda into the back of the 2017 Nissan Sentra in front of it, causing the Sentra to crash into the back of a 2016 Hyundai Elantra.
While none of the drivers, all men ranging from 22 to 60-years-old, were injured, a 10-year-old girl from the Honda and a 9-year-old girl from the Nissan both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both girls were transported by EMS to Mercy Joplin.
