Nationwide laws pertaining to drunk driving make it illegal to operate a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level at or above 0.08%. Those who are under 21 are held to zero-tolerance laws making it against the law to drive with any calculable amount of alcohol in their system. These laws exist in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia.
