Kansas City, MO (November 24, 2021) – Unusual circumstances led to a motor vehicle accident in the Kansas City area on Sunday that left one man severely injured. On November 21, a Ford sedan was traveling west on East 31st Street when it struck a bowling ball near Montgall Avenue. The ball then became dislodged under the vehicle.
The vehicle came to a rest and the male occupant exited the vehicle to recover the ball so they could continue down the road. As the man crawled under the vehicle, a male suspect approached the car and attempted to grab the driver’s purse. As the woman attempted to recover the purse, a scuffle ensued, resulting in the vehicle rolling forward.
The man was run over by the vehicle, resulting in severe injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the victim who was injured in this accident. We hope for his full recovery.
