Bates Co, MO (October 20, 2020) – An accident that resulted in injuries to the vehicle’s passenger took place near Route K on Tuesday, October 20th in Bates County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol incident report, at about 3:25 p.m., a 21-year-old female from Ottawa, KS was driving a 2004 Buick Century eastbound along MO-52 when she failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle left the roadway, struck an MDOT sign, and landing in a ditch.
The passenger in the Buick, a 24-year-old female, was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital with injuries that were classified as non-life-threatening.
The driver was unharmed during the incident.
The Bates County Sheriff’s Department was also on the scene to assist.
