Franklin, MO (September 27, 2021) – Authorities have identified 67-year-old Larry Hood as the victim injured in the Franklin County motor vehicle accident on Sunday evening, September 26.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that at around 8:11 p.m., 54-year-old Sheila Armstrong was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram westbound on Missouri Highway 30. For unknown reasons, her vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a 2014 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle.
The Dodge then continued forward and went off the right side of the roadway.
Hood, who was driving the motorcycle at the time of the accident, suffered severe injuries. He was transported to Barnes-Jewish Hospital via Air Evac Helicopter.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
