Cole, MO – Curtis Dyer Injured in Bicycle Crash on Big Horn Dr near Old Lohman Rd

Cole, MO (August 30, 2022) – Authorities were requested at the scene of a vehicle collision that left one man injured on Sunday morning. Just after 11:20 a.m., on August 28, Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. A.R. Sullivan was dispatched to a crash on Big Horn Drive.

Preliminary reports show that a 2015 Hyundai Sonata failed to yield while entering a traffic circle on Big Horn Drive at the intersection of Old Lohman Road. As a result, the vehicle struck a 2020 Trek Domane bicycle.

The rider, 68-year-old Curtis Dyer, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Dyer, who is from Jefferson City, Missouri, was transported by Cole County EMS to Capital Region Medical Center for emergency treatment.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
