Columbia, MO – One Killed in Auto Accident on East Broadway near US-63 Interchange

Columbia, MO (December 2, 2022) – One person has died as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in the Columbia area on Thursday afternoon. On December 1, the Columbia Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on East Broadway.

According to law enforcement, a collision between vehicles occurred on East Broadway that blocked both lanes of the roadway near the US Highway 63 interchange.

The Columbia Police Department assisted firefighters in blocking off the roadway between Timberhill Street in Keene Street for approximately two hours as they worked to clear the scene.

One victim was fatally injured as a result of the accident. Another person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
