Deer Creek Township, MO (March 8, 2022) – One woman was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries following a traffic-related incident in Bates County. At around 11:30 a.m., on March 7, emergency crews were requested on-site at a traffic-related incident on Interstate 49.
Reports from authorities show that a 2017 Ford Escape and a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck collided on the northbound side of Interstate 49 in the area near mile marker 145.6. The incident left both vehicles with extensive damage, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Ford, 25-year-old Kaili McCarl, sustained injuries in the accident. McCarl was transported to Cass Regional for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
