Kansas City, MO (March 13, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Clay County left one man injured, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
At around 6:35 a.m., on March 10, MSHP Trooper C. A. Adkison was dispatched to the site of a crash on Interstate 35.
Preliminary investigations surrounding the crash show that a Dodge Charger and a black 2014 Lexus 840 were both traveling north on Interstate 35. For unknown reasons, the charger began to fishtail. The vehicle crossed over the center lines just north of Armour Road and crashed into the Lexus.
The driver of the Lexus, 45-year-old Russell Reed Jr, sustained injuries in the accident. Reed was transported by ambulance to North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Missouri for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
