Callaway, MO (May 18, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in Callaway that left two people injured. At around 7:10 a.m., on May 13, calls for assistance came in regarding an auto accident that took place on Interstate 70.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and a 2001 Lincoln Towncar were involved in a crash on the westbound side of Interstate 70. The incident caused delays in the area of mile marker 164.6.
The incident caused delays in the area as crews closed off a portion of the roadway to clear the scene. Both vehicles were totaled and had to be towed away.
Two people involved in the accident were injured. Callaway County EMS transported 19-year-old Braxton Gee and 41-year-old Christopher Long to University Hospital for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
