Car Accidents in Missouri
Motor vehicle crashes in Missouri leave countless people injured every single day. Unfortunately, there are many types of accidents that we see take place in our state that result in devastating injuries. One of the most common accident types that we see is the T-bone collision. These accidents often take place at intersections and involve two or more vehicles. T-bone collisions, also referred to as broadside collisions, can take place for a variety of reasons. The majority of these accidents are a result of negligence.
One of the most common causes of T-bone accidents in Missouri is driving while distracted. Inattention while behind the wheel can include anything from talking on the phone or texting, or even eating while driving.
Another common cause of T-bone crashes is drivers who fail to yield. Drivers who fail to yield when they should, can cause a serious accident. For example, if a driver fails to yield when turning left at an intersection, they may collide with oncoming traffic. This can easily result in a T-bone accident.
Finally, running red lights is also a major contributing factor to T-bone accidents in Missouri. When drivers run red lights, they are putting other drivers at risk. They may not see oncoming traffic, or they may misjudge the speed of other vehicles, leading to a dangerous collision.
