St Louis, MO (November 26, 2022) – A traffic accident occurred in the St Louis area that sent two people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 9 a.m., on November 23, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the site of a traffic wreck on Interstate 70.

According to reports, a 2013 Nissan NV crashed into the rear of a 2015 Jeep Compass on the eastbound side of Interstate 70 just west of Interstate 270. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to strike the rear of a 2016 Kentworth T680. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to travel off the right side of the roadway and strike a guardrail. The Nissan then rolled backward and struck a 2014 Ford Focus.

The incident caused moderate disruptions on the roadway. EMS responded to the scene to render aid to two victims. EMS transported 46-year-old Leslie Neide to Mercy Hospital South. The second victim, 54-year-old Magdiel Ortiz-Gonzalez, was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Peters, Missouri.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
