Tipton, MO (November 13, 2022) – A fatal truck accident occurred on Sunday evening in Moniteau County that claimed the life of a man and woman from California, Missouri. Calls for help came in surrounding the vehicle collision just before 7 p.m. on October 29.
Preliminary reports provided by authorities show that a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling on US Highway 50 as the vehicle attempted to make a left turn just 58 feet west of Cross Lane Road, it became involved in a collision with a 1998 Kenilworth GRAIN truck.
Two people inside the Chrysler, 79-year-old Richard Manning and 74-year-old Mary Manning, both suffered fatal injuries. The two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by Moniteau County Coroner Brad Friedmeyer while at the scene of the crash.
At this time, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is actively investigating the collision.
