Truck Accidents in Missouri

Elk Fork Township, MO – Truck Crash on Route Y near Purchase Rd Leaves Man InjuredBeing harmed in a traffic collision can impact your life in a variety of ways. Most people who are involved in serious accidents suffer overwhelming physical consequences. We see countless people left with traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and other severe injuries. Not only do victims suffer physically, but emotionally as well. Many victims struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and other emotional consequences. Unfortunately, victims often face towering financial burdens as well.

In Missouri, the law of pure comparative negligence applies to car accident cases. This means that if you are found to be even 1% at fault for an accident, you may still recover damages from the other driver or drivers involved, but your own damages will be reduced by your percentage of fault. For example, if you are awarded $10,000 in damages but are found to be 10% at fault, you would only receive $9,000. The fact that semi-truck cases often have much larger policies to provide coverage for the damages that victims endure means it is critical that injured parties are able to fully prove the damages and losses they suffered. A strong legal team can make a huge difference when it comes to pursuing full compensation for the damages you face.
