Sweet Springs, MO – Three-Vehicle Accident on I-70 near MM 64.4 Leaves One Injured

Sweet Springs, MO (October 8, 2022) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol received a notification that a crash took place in Celine County that resulted in injuries. On October 6, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash that blocked Interstate 70.

Preliminary investigations provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that at approximately 2:10 p.m., a Chevrolet and a 2019 Lexus RX350 were both stopped for traffic on Interstate 70 just west of mile marker 64.4. For unknown reasons, a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer crashed into the rear of the Lexus. The impact of the crash caused the Lexus to strike the Chevrolet.

The mercury and the Lexus were both significantly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

A 24-year-old man involved in the accident, identified as Rainier Conley of St. Louis, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash. Conley was transported to Centerpoint Hospital, where he was treated for injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation at this time.
