Warsaw, MO (October 6, 2022) – A traffic collision took place in Benton County that sent one woman to an area hospital with injuries. On October 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and area firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle collision on US Highway 65.

At around 6:10 p.m., a 2000 Cadillac Escalade was driving on US Highway 65 with a tow unit attached to the rear. For reasons unknown, the total unit became detached and traveled into the southbound lanes just south of Main Street. The towed unit then collided with it a 2003 GMC Yukon.

The Yukon was totaled as a result of the collision. The driver of the Yukon, 75-year-old Margie Bryant of Urbana, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash. Bryant was transported to Bothwell Hospital by Warsaw Lincoln EMS, where she underwent treatment for the injuries she had suffered.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

Our thoughts are with Margie Bryant as we hope for her full recovery.
