St Louis, MO (September 22, 2022) – A vehicle collision reported in the St Louis area resulted in injuries. At around 4:20 p.m., on September 20, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a collision on Interstate 270.
Preliminary reports show that a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2012 Nissan Versa collided on the northbound side of Interstate 270 near US Highway 67.
Further investigations show that the Nissan was stopped while yielding to traffic to make a right turn onto US Highway 67 from Interstate 270 when the driver of the Chevrolet became inattentive. As a result, the front of the Chevrolet struck the rear of the Nissan.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and firefighters closed off the intersection while working to clear the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, 51-year-old Martha Cassiano, was injured in the crash. She was transported to SSM Health Depaul Hospital by Hazelwood Fire Protection District, where she was provided further treatment.
