Symptoms of Pradaxa
Pradaxa belongs to a category of drugs intended to inhibit the enzyme in the blood which causes it to clot. It is promoted for the prevention of strokes among individuals with atrial fibrillation. However, the side effects of the drug can go too far and make it nearly impossible for the individual’s blood to clot when it needs to.
Symptoms of Pradaxa can include the following:
- Unusual Bruising or Bleeding
- Pink or Brown Urine (indicating blood)
- Red or Black Stool (indicating blood)
- Coughing Up Blood

In May 2014, Boehringer Ingelheim settled all 4,000 state and federal Pradaxa lawsuits with $650 million. However, the company still denied any wrongdoing.
