Hundreds Hurt by Flu Vaccines

Flu vaccines are recommended every year during the height of flu season. Unfortunately, recent reports reveal that a flu shot can cause serious nerve damage in the arms of patients who receive flu shots.

A number of patients have experienced paralysis, nerve damage and chronic pain after receiving a flu shot. Some patients have reported being unable to move their arms or debilitating pain.

While flu shots rarely cause debilitating injuries, medical professionals point to the rise of flu shots given in pharmacies as the culprit.

Many individuals now receive their vaccines at a pharmacy and then often suffer an injury. Doctors report that the injuries are being caused by poorly placed flu shots that are placed too high on a patient’s arm.

Patients who need a flu shot are being encouraged to go the hospital and avoid getting shots in the arm. The Journal of American Pharmacist Association urged pharmacists to take proper care when administering flu shots, including where to place an injection.

These patients are now eligible for cash compensation for shoulder injuries. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program provides victims of vaccines with compensation after a vaccine injury. Awards range from$10,000 to more than $100,000 depending on the severity of the injury.

The fund is funded through a tax on vaccines and an attorney is required to seek damages. Patients injured by vaccines cannot sue the drug manufacturers directly.

At Peterson & Associates, our medical malpractice lawyers have decades of experience helping families injured by members of the medical profession responsible. You deserve justice; our attorneys can help.

A compensation award is not possible unless you file a claim with the vaccine fund. Find out if you and your family qualify.
