Vehicle Collisions in Lathrop

A study focusing on teenage drivers conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that car accidents were the number one cause of fatalities among teenagers in the United States in 2017. Teens between the ages of 15 and 19-years old made up slightly more than 6% of the country’s driving population but accounted for 8% of all car accidents nationwide.

As far as Missouri is concerned, the state rated sixth in the nation for vehicular fatalities relating to teen drivers, with nearly 150 fatalities that same year, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
