Raytown, MO – One Killed & Four Injured in Fire on Blue Ridge Cutoff

Raytown, MO (October 5, 2020) – A fire incident at an assisted living facility in the Raytown area claimed one victim’s life and left several others injured. At approximately 9:30 p.m., on October 3, the firefighters in Raytown responded to the scene of a fire incident on Blue Ridge Cutoff.

Reports show that a fire broke out in the Temple Heights Manor, which is located at 5440 Blue Ridge Cutoff, for unknown reasons. The fire was limited to a single apartment unit located on the sixth floor of the complex.

Five people sustained smoke inhalation injuries in the incident. All five victims were rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that one victim succumbed to their injuries after arriving at the hospital. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
