Kansas City, MO - Dora Gamble Killed, Child Critically Injured in House Fire
Kansas City, MO (April 02, 2021) - Officers from the Kansas City Police Department have identified the woman who was killed in a house fire on Wednesday, March 31st that also left a child with critical injuries.
Firefighters who were dispatched to the scene pulled 66-year-old Dora Gamble and a child from the burning house on the city’s southeast side.
Both were transported to local trauma centers. The woman was pronounced dead and the child was listed in critical condition.
The fire and the death are being investigated as suspicious. Detectives with the police department’s bomb and arson unit are investigating, as are homicide detectives.
