Big Creek Township, MO (August 17, 2021) – A collision involving four vehicles that took place on Monday, August 16th on State Highway 291 sent one person to the hospital for medical treatment.

Reports show that the accident took place at about 5:25 p.m. in the southbound lane of State Highway 291 at the intersection of State Highway 58 near Manna Fellowship Church in Cass County.

Investigators determined that a 2005 Ford, driven by a 36-year-old male from Harrisonville, was attempting to overtake a 2012 GMC when it collided with the vehicle’s back end. The force of the impact forced the GMC to crash into the back of a 2004 Mazada driven by a 32-year-old male from Harrisonville, who in turn collided with the 2007 Jeep driven by a 36-year-old female from Lee’s Summit directly in front of it.

The driver of the GMC, a 36-year-old female from Raymore, was transported by South Metro Fire to Belton Regional Medical Center with injuries classified as non-critical.

According to the report, all four drivers were properly restrained at the time of the crash.
