Clinton, MO (August 20, 2021) – On Friday, August 20th, a collision between two vehicles on US-65 put one person in the hospital in Benton County.
A police report says that the accident took place in the southbound lanes of US-65 in the area of Route C at about 4:50 p.m when a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Blazer was attempting to make a lefthand turn onto Route C and was struck by a 2012 Toyota Prius, driven by a 79-year-old male from Lincoln.
The driver of the Blazer, a 62-year-old male from Lincoln, sustained moderate injuries during the impact. He was transported by paramedics to Bothwell Regional Health Center for immediate medical treatment.
The report also shows that both drivers were properly restrained when the collision occurred.
