Excelsior Springs, MO (August 21, 2021) – A 6-year-old girl was killed and several other victims were seriously injured during a car accident on Friday, August 20th a serious crash in Excelsior Springs.
According to police reports, the collision took place at about 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Orrick Road and Seybold Road when a Ford Focus occupied by a driver and four passengers was heading eastbound on Seybold Road. For reasons still under investigation, the car spun out and collided with a parked vehicle before coming to an uncontrolled stop in a brush pile.
One witness helped pry open the doors and cut seatbelts while another performed CPR on the driver.
Three adults were transported by Emergency Medical Services to various hospitals in the Kansas City area, all in serious condition.
A four-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to Children’s Mercy also with serious injuries.
A local source revealed that the little boy sustained some broken bones but he is conscious and is expected to recover.
The other three occupants of the car remain in critical condition.
