Fidelity, MO – Four Injured in Two-Car Crash on MO-59

Fidelity, MO (August 06, 2021) – Four people sustained injuries during a two-vehicle accident on Friday, August 6th at about 11:55 p.m. on Missouri Highway 59, just outside of Fidelity in Jasper County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one of the drivers, 26-year-old Zachary R. Scofield, a resident of Joplin, was transported by paramedics to Freeman Hospital West in serious condition.

A passenger in his vehicle, 36-year-old Christopher L. Britt, a resident of Webb City, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin with moderate injuries.

The driver of the second car, 35-year-old Christopher A. Jennings, and his passenger, 20-year-old Dakota M. Gollhofer, both residents of Carthage, were taken to Mercy Hospital Carthage for treatment of injuries classified as non-critical.

Scofield was driving westbound and attempting a U-turn when his vehicle collided with the northbound pick-up truck driven by Jennings.
