Garden City, MO (August 02, 2021) – Four people died from a collision between a tractor-trailer and a sport utility vehicle in Cass County on Monday, August 2nd.
Three people initially died in the accident, but the fourth victim has since passed away from their injuries.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed the driver of the tractor-trailer and three occupants of the SUV have died.
A fourth occupant of the SUV was injured. None of the victims have been identified, but officials did say that no young children were involved.
Missouri 7 Highway at State Route F, near Garden City, was closed for several hours for road clean-up and investigation. The highway opened back up at about 4:20 p.m.
The highway patrol and Cass County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
