Jefferson Co, MO - Michael D. Politte Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 110
Jefferson Co, MO (August 28, 2021) - Police were called to investigate the scene of a fatal two-vehicle crash on Saturday, August 28th in Jefferson County.
The collision occurred at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 110 and Old Country Road.
Sources reported that a 2002 Harley Davidson FXDL was westbound on Highway 110. At that moment, a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 54-year-old male from Desoto, that had been stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Athena School Road and Highway 110 entered the intersection without yielding to the motorcyclist.
The front of the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Jeep. Both vehicles spun out and came to uncontrolled stops off the side of Old Country Road.
The driver of the Harley Davidson, 55-year-old Michael D. Politte, a resident of Desoto, was pronounced at the scene by EMS.
