Jefferson Co, MO - Two Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash Near Manderly Ct
Jefferson Co, MO (August 16, 2021) - A collision involving three vehicles on Highway 61 in Jefferson County sent two men to the hospital on the afternoon of Monday, August 16th.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place in the area of Manderly Court when 51-year-old Robert Koester, a resident of Festus, was driving southbound and, for reasons that have yet to be determined, veered directly into the path of an oncoming 2005 Ford F-150 driven by 65-year-old Darrell Boyer, a resident of Park Hills, causing the two vehicles to collide.
Due to the force of the impact, Koester’s 1994 Ford F-150 was propelled backward and struck the front end of a 2016 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old.
Koester was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Mercy Hospital South in serious condition.
Boyer was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with injuries classified as moderate.
The 17-year-old was unharmed during the incident.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Injury Collisions in Jefferson County
Close to 40% of all crash-related injuries and deaths are caused by accidents involving multiple vehicles. Proving fault in these kinds of accidents can be a very complicated process due to the fact that there is often more than one contributing factor that led to the accident.
Without the benefit of the resources that an established personal injury attorney has available to them, finding the exact cause of the accident could be a lengthy, exasperating process.
When victims receive injuries in auto accidents brought on by another person’s disregard for the laws of the road, Missouri permits them to file a claim of personal injury against the liable motorist for financial reimbursement. Victims should seek the guidance of a car accident attorney in Jefferson, Missouri who has decades of practice in how to handle personal injury laws.
It is essential to remember that, no matter how well-intentioned they may seem, insurance adjusters work for car insurance companies, their mission is to protect the company’s bottom line. In order to achieve this, adjusters will continually try to get you to say that the crash was partially or entirely your fault. They may also try to get you to admit that your crash-related injuries are not actually that serious, or that the crash itself wasn’t really that severe.
When you talk to an insurance adjuster, it is imperative that you do not make any admission of fault, or give them a statement regarding the accident. The smartest thing you can do before talking to an adjuster about your car accident is to have a reputable personal injury attorney with you.
