Joplin, MO (August 19, 2021) – One man endured moderate injuries during a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, August 18th in Newton County.
The crash took place at about 4:50 p.m. on Route P, just outside of Joplin.
58-year-old Kenvin D. Chandler, a resident of Neosho, was transported by paramedics to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
Reports show that Chandler was behind the wheel of an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox when he was broadsided by a southbound pick-up truck driven by a 17-year-old male from Joplin who failed to yield the right of way.
The teenager’s name has not been released due to his status as a juvenile.
