Kansas City, MO (August 25, 2021) – 50-year-old Anthony Hunter was killed during a two-car crash on Sunday, August 15th in Kansas City.
According to police, at about 6:30 p.m., they were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and East 31st Street.
Hunter was traveling eastbound along East 31st Street in a tan Chevrolet Silverado when the driver of a white Pontiac Grand Prix failed to stop for a red light, causing the two vehicles to collide.
After the impact, the Chevrolet struck a large metal utility pole. Hunter, whom police did not publicly identify until Wednesday, was thrown from his vehicle.
He was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital where he passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
