Kansas City, MO (August 11, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a disabled vehicle on Interstate 435 at State Line Road on Wednesday, August 11th.
Leawood police reported that at about 9:00 p.m., for reasons that have yet to be determined, a vehicle traveling westbound on the interstate crashed into the barrier wall and was left disabled in the roadway. Just a couple of minutes later, a motorcycle rider struck the disabled car.
The driver of the disabled vehicle sustained non-critical injuries during the impact.
Caleb Addington, the 21-year-old motorcyclist, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with critical injuries. He was pronounced dead a short while later.
