Kansas City, MO (August 15, 2021) – Two police officers sustained injuries during a hit-and-run accident on the morning of Sunday, August 15th in Kansas City.
Reports show that at about 1:15 a.m., two officers were in a marked patrol car traveling northbound through the green light of the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and East Truman Road when they were struck by a Chrysler sedan that was heading eastbound.
The driver of the Chrysler drove further down the roadway before abandoning the vehicle at Norton Avenue and East Truman Road.
Both officers were transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital with non-critical injuries.
