Aquilla, MO (December 14, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident was reported in Stoddard County that sent two people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 4:50 p.m., on December 13, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on County Road 503.
Reports from authorities show that a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2001 Ford Escort collided on County Road 503 just one mile east of Aquilla. The incident blocked the roadway, resulting in some delays throughout the area. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Two people inside the Ford were injured. EMS transported a 14-year-old male and 44-year-old Eugene Anderson to St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
