Blue Springs, MO (December 3, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Jackson County on Thursday morning left one woman injured. At around 3:55 a.m., on December 2, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 70.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2004 Buick Rendezvous and a 2022 Freightliner collided on the westbound side of Interstate 70 just east of South Little Blue Parkway.
The crash caused moderate delays in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the roadway.
The driver of the Buick, identified as 19-year-old Treonna Haynes, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. She was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
