Campbell, MO (December 31, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Dunklin County, just outside of Campbell, claimed one woman’s life on Thursday afternoon, December 30.
At around 12:25 p.m., authorities received the request for assistance on-site at a crash on Highway 53.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2019 Chrysler 200 and a 2019 GMC G3500 collided on Highway 53 just seven miles north of Campbell. The crash left both vehicles totaled, requiring them to be towed away from the scene.
The driver of the Chrysler, 40-year-old Jessica Cochran, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Towell.
The driver of the GMC, 32-year-old Charles Owens, was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
