Cape Girardeau, MO (December 26, 2021) – One man was left with moderate injuries following a motor vehicle accident in the Cape Girardeau area on Saturday afternoon, December 25. At around 2:25 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Windy Hill Lane.
Reports from authorities show that a Tiking ATV and a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado were involved in a collision on Windy Hill Lane in the area of Shady Lane during the afternoon hours. The crash left the ATV with moderate damage.
The driver of the ATV, 38-year-old Shannon Hernandez, sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was transported to St Francis Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
