Cooper, MO (December 21, 2021) – An automobile accident reported in Cooper County left one woman injured. At around 4:40 p.m., on December 19, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the site of a crash on Interstate 70.
Reports from MSHP Trooper T.G. Johnson show that a 2016 Chevrolet Trax came to a stop for traffic congestion near mile marker 103 on the westbound side of Interstate 70. The driver of a 2021 Nissan Rogue failed to yield to traffic and crashed into a 2020 Ford Fusion. The impact of the crash caused the Ford to strike the Chevrolet.
The driver of the Ford, 19-year-old Alexis Keller, sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported by Cooper County EMS to University Hospital for further evaluation.
At this time, MSHP is investigating the crash.
