Essex, MO (December 22, 2021) – One woman was left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Stoddard County on Tuesday evening, December 21. At around 4:45 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Highway 153.
Reports show that a crash between a 2010 Chevrolet HHR and a 1993 GMC Sierra occurred on Highway 153 in the area near Highway 114. The crash left both vehicles with extensive damage, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 77-year-old Marsha Pearson, was injured in the accident. She was transported to St Francis in Cape Girardeau for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
