Hawk Point Township, MO (December 10, 2021) – Two people have lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Lincoln County, Missouri on Thursday morning, December 9.
Just after 6 a.m., a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling north on Highway 47. At the same time, a 2003 Dodge Dakota was traveling south on the same roadway. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on just south of Highway U.
The drivers of both vehicles were fatally injured. Lincoln County Medical Examiner Dan Heavin arrived at the scene and pronounced the victims deceased. They have been identified as 46-year-old Matthew O’Donnell of Ballwin, Missouri, and 59-year-old Danny Smith of Troy, Missouri.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
