Index Township, MO (December 11, 2021) – Two women were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a traffic-related incident in Cass County on Friday morning, December 10.
Just before 10 a.m., emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Highway Z. Reports from authorities show that a 2010 Ford F-150 and a 2007 Chevrolet HHR collided on Highway Z at the intersection of East 275th Street.
The crash blocked the roadway, causing moderate delays in traffic as crews worked to clear the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured. The two victims, identified as 32-year-old Abbie Baker and 36-year-old Jamie Sherrow-Baker, were both transported to Cass County Regional Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
