Jackson, MO (December 4, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Jackson County sent one woman to a local hospital with injuries. At around 2:45 p.m., on December 1, authorities were notified that an accident on US Highway 40 required assistance.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2010 Toyota Highlander and a 2013 Jeep Wrangler collided on the westbound side of US Highway 40 just west of Southwest 40th Street.
The crash left one person injured. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 51-year-old Cydney Caston, was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
