Jacksonville, MO (December 19, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Randolph County ended in injuries on Friday evening, December 17. Just before 10 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 63.
According to preliminary investigations, the driver of a 2000 Ford F-250 failed to observe a 2004 Toyota Prius in the roadway. As a result, the two vehicles collided on US Highway 63 just three miles south of Jacksonville.
The impact of the crash caused the Toyota to go off the road and land in a field.
The driver of the Toyota, 59-year-old Gary Summers, sustained injuries in the incident.
