Jefferson, MO (December 9, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a traffic-related incident in Jefferson County on Monday evening, December 6. At around 7:15 p.m., authorities were called to the scene of a crash on Route TT.
Reports from authorities show that a 2014 Kia Sorento and a 1985 Yamaha XV1000 collided on the northbound side of Route TT in the area just south of Interstate 55. The impact of the crash caused the Kia to strike a pedestrian standing near the roadway.
The incident left both vehicles with extensive damage, prompting them to be towed from the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 38-year-old Andrew Katz, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
