Maryville, MO (December 31, 2021) – Several people were injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Maryville area on Thursday afternoon. Just before 4 p.m., on December 30, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 136.
Reports from authorities show that a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek and a 2010 Ford Explorer were both traveling east on US Highway 136. At the same time, a 2004 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound. As the driver of the Subaru began to slow their vehicle, it was struck by the Ford Explorer near Pleasant View Drive.
The impact of the crash caused the Subaru to crash into the Ford F-150.
A total of five people involved in the crash were injured. Several ambulances responded to the scene to provide transportation to a 12-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, 20-year-old Connor Neilson, and 44-year-old Randi Nielson to Mosaic Hospital in Maryville for care. Another ambulance responded to the scene to transport 36-year-old Charles Henry to Mosaic St Joseph.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
