Nevada, MO (December 6, 2021) – A 17-year-old female was left injured as a result of a traffic-related incident in Vernon County just outside of Nevada. At around noon on December 5, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident on Interstate 49.
Reports from authorities show that a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, driven by a 17-year-old female from Kansas City, Missouri, was stopped on Interstate 49 just one mile north of Nevada. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was struck from behind by a 2018 Ford Escape.
The driver of the Elantra was injured in the crash. She was transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
