Perry, MO (December 1, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Tuesday morning claimed the life of a man from Hannibal, Missouri. At around 5:15 a.m., on November 30, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident on Missouri Route 19.
Reports from authorities show that a 2014 Volvo truck tractor was traveling north on Missouri State Route 19 when it struck a male pedestrian just three miles south of Perry.
The pedestrian, who was identified as 55-year-old Melvin Hisel, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
